AMSAT forum is Saturday morning. Anyone interested in amateur radio satellites is encouraged to attend. There is also a AMSAT booth on the main floor.
The West Central Florida Group Inc / NI4CE will have their meeting. The meeting is open and all interested parties is encouraged to attend. There is also a WCFG booth on the main floor.
The ARRL West Central Florida Section forum will have representatives from both the Division and Sean Kutzko KX9X the Media and Public Relations Manager from ARRL Headquarters in attendance in addition to our Section officials. Visit and meet your elected and appointed officials. Ask questions and hear the latest from Headquarters. You can also visit the ARRL booth just inside the front door of the Expo building.
SKYWARN On Saturday afternoon both Basic and Advanced Skywarn classes are offered. Get certified or renew your existing certification.
REMOTE HF OPERATION Lu Romero W4LT runs his station remote and led the way for the Tampa Amateur Radio Club remote operation. Come see how itís done.
DXCC/WAS/ VUCC/IARU card checking will be available all day in the main hall at the ARRL both. Drop off your cards and have them checked while you visit your favorite commercial vendor or stroll the tailgate area.
HT TRANSMITTER SPECTRUM PURITY checking will be done all day. Bring your HT to the booth near the Tampa Bay Hamfest booth in the rear of the building.
The FLORIDA REPEATER COUNCIL will hold a workshop for Council Trustees and all other interested parties.
The QCWA presenter will be Ken Simpson W8EK. All are welcome.
Commerical License exams will be administrated by NRE examiners . All tests are by reservation only to ensure the required test and paperwork is available for whichever exam you desire. SouthCARS will operate their net from the gazebo at the front of the Armory in the tailgate area and be there all day to meet and greet all the members and other interested parties. There will be a luncheon meeting in the Armory.
